Irina Bokova slips to fifth position in second vote for UN Secretary General

Bulgaria’s Irina Bokova has slipped from third to fifth position after the second vote for the position of UN Secretary General with 7 votes.
Former Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Guterres is still in the lead with 11 votes, followed by Serbia's former foreign minister Vuk Jeremic. The closed-door votes at the UN Security Council will continue until one of the 11 candidates receives the support of the 15 council members; seven of the candidates are from Eastern Europe.
