Bulgaria will remain an active advocate for ensuring the European future of the countries of the Western Balkans during the Bulgarian presidency of the Council of the European Union. This was announced by Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov at a meeting with Mladen  Ivanic, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who has paid a visit to Sofia.

PM Borisov expressed his belief that Bosnia and Herzegovina would continue to move along the path of Euro-Atlantic integration, which is the only security guarantee in the region. He stressed on the role of each Balkan country in maintaining peace and stability in this part of the continent, as well as in Europe as a whole. Borisov and Ivanic discussed the development of bilateral relations, highlighting the great potential in front of them.

It was stated that holding a joint business forum would reveal opportunities for partnerships that were in the interest of both parties.
