People who do not wear face masks at school will be punished only as a last resort, Bulgaria’s Deputy Minister of Education and Science Tanya Mihaylova told BNT several days before the beginning of the new school year. Face masks are basically part of the health requirements of the Bulgarian Ministry of Health, Deputy Minister Mihaylova reminded. Wearing of face masks will be mandatory in the corridors and other places where more pupils gather. However, wearing of face masks in classrooms is not obligatory. I believe that it would be very difficult for any of us to wear face masks in the classroom for 6 hours, Tanya Mihaylova said further.
