Bulgaria and its business welcome any serious intention of Chinese companies to invest in Bulgaria in accordance with the EU rules. The active efforts aimed at overcoming the long-standing negative trade balance, which is a real problem for Bulgaria, must continue. We rely on China’s support and the support of President Xi Jinping to implement concrete measures to expand the access to the Chinese market by simplifying and speeding up the import procedures, especially the procedures for import of food and agricultural produce. This was what Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Tourism Mariana Nikolova said at the online meeting of the “17+1 initiative (the 17 CEE countries and China)”, reports BTA.
