Bulgarian Food Safety Agency to check safety of Easter foods

As of today, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency begins mass checks in food production and trading facilities. The inspection is made in connection with the forthcoming official holidays in Bulgaria- Easter, which falls on May 2 and St. George's Day, celebrated on May 6. 

The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency is to check the quality and the origin of the traditional foods offered for these holidays such as lamb, Easter bread (kozunak), eggs, fresh vegetables and egg paint. Bulgarian lamb must have a blue health mark and imported lamb must have a red health mark.
