Rising number of young people seek psychological help after overcoming Covid-19

Social isolation caused by the corovanirus epidemic has led to anxiety and family conflicts, according to the Bulgarian Red Cross. More and more people call the organisation's center for help and advice.

"Many of those who have encountered the virus are worried about other diseases that it could trigger," Tanya Georgieva, director of the Regional Organization of the Bulgarian Red Cross in Plovdiv says. According to her, people who recovered from Covid-19 suffer from impaired communication with their loved ones, while the number of breakups was also on the rise. Over 60% of those who seek help from psychologists are women, while the number of young people who call for psychological help has also been rising.
