The Bulgarian economy has the opportunity to employ a significant number of Ukrainian refugees, Minister of Innovation and Growth Daniel Lorer said after a meeting with employers. There have been specific offers for more than 150,000 jobs for refugees. Previously employers said that the Bulgarian economy could provide employment to 200,000 people, BTA recalls.

People come to us extremely shocked and our concern is to welcome them, to provide them with shelter and food. The next step for those who decide to make Bulgaria their home is to find them a job. About 80,000 people from Ukraine have already entered our country and about half remained here, Lorer added.
