First ladies of Bulgaria and Turkey meet in Istanbul

Desislava Radeva, wife of Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev, has met, in Istanbul, with Emine Erdogan, wife of Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan.

The first lady of Bulgaria is paying a visit to the city at the invitation of the Saints Cyril and Methodius Bulgarian Sunday school in Istanbul, as well as the Ivan Vazov school in Edirne, to mark St. Lazarus Day. This morning, Desislava Radeva, together with representatives of the Bulgarian community, attended a church service at St. Stephen, the Iron Church in Istanbul, after which she met with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
