BNR keeps top position in terms of trust among the Bulgarian audience

The Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) is the national media that Bulgarians trust the most, according to the Digital News Report for 2023 of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford

59% of Bulgarians trust the news of the BNR. With the same result, the Bulgarian National Television ranks next to BNR, but the share of mistrust is 20% compared to 18 percent for BNR.

In the ranking for audience reach, BNR holds the 8th place. In the rankings for audience reach online, the BNR website is in 12th place and is followed weekly by 11% of the audience. 76% of Bulgarians say that their main news sources are online ones, but their trust in the news is low, the report shows.
