The Ukrainian embassy in Sofia has issued a position, sent to the media, that Ukraine is doing its utmost to restore peace. The statement comes one day after President Rumen Radev stated, during the folklore festival at Rozhen: “I want to make it clear, it is Ukraine that is insisting on waging this war, but it must also be clear that it is the whole of Europe that is footing the bill.”

The Ukrainian embassy statement reads further that shifting the blame for the war onto Ukraine, which was attacked by Russia, is one of the most widespread staple claims by Russian propaganda and the hybrid war in Europe. The Kremlin regime and its followers are the only ones who are avoiding the use of the word “war”, disguising it by saying “conflict and “Special operation”, the statement goes on. The embassy of Ukraine stresses further that providing Ukraine with the means to defend itself does not lead to more loss of life, it means more lives saved.
