Bulgarians are personally satisfied with 2023, but they dare not admit it

The opinions of Bulgarians for 2023 in terms of personal aspect are polarized. 24% say 2023 is better than the previous year; for 26% it is worse, and for 50% there is no significant change, a study by "Alpha Research" shows.

The final ratings for the upcoming year are better than the result in 2022, when 36 percent of respondents had a negative view. In 2023, 83 percent of Bulgarians say they are satisfied with their living conditions, 81% - with their personal life, 73% - with their health, 68% - with their work, and 55% - with their financial situation. However, 56% of respondents expressed a negative assessment of life in the country.

11 percent say the year is better for Bulgaria, while 55% say it is worse. 42% expect that 2024 will be better for them. 19% are of the opposite opinion. From the point of view of Bulgaria and the world, 33% expect a "better" year, and 36 % expect a "worse" year.
