Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 28 November 2024

Sharp change in the weather expected on Friday

On Friday, cloudy weather will prevail over the country. The wind will be oriented from the northwest, will strengthen and in the Danube Plain its speed will reach 10-15 m/s. With it, cold air will invade the country and temperatures will drop and by the evening on the high fields the rain will start to turn into snow. 

The minimum temperatures will be between 0°C and 5°C, and highs will be in a wide interval - from 4°C-6°C in Northwestern Bulgaria and Sofia region to 12°C-14°C in some parts of Eastern Bulgaria, where a southwesterly wind will blow for most of the day.

Cloudy and foggy weather will prevail in the mountains. Before noon rain will begin in the massifs in Western Bulgaria, which will gradually cover the mountains in Central Bulgaria as it will turn gradually into snow. A moderate northwesterly wind will blow, on the ridges - a strong southwesterly wind. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be about 6°C, at 2,000 meters - about 2°C, but it will get colder in the afternoon.

Cloudy weather will prevail along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, without significant precipitation. Before noon, a moderate south-southwesterly wind will blow. Maximum temperatures will be at 12°C to 14°C. The temperature of the sea water is 12°C-13°C.
