Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak confirmed to EC Vice-president for Energy Union Marosh Shevchovich that the project for the South Stream gas pipeline is stopped. Meanwhile it transpired that in January the European Commission will present suggestions on the structure of a working group for ensuring energy security for the former member-countries of the project. These countries are: Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, Italy, Romania, Slovenia and Croatia.
