The veto of President Rumen Radev on some texts from the budget of the National Hospital Insurance Fund has been rejected by the parliamentary committee on budget and finance. The head of state vetoed texts imposing a moratorium on payment for 32 new expensive drugs. According to the president, the texts raised concerns that the rights of all health insured persons would not be guaranteed. However, according to the Budget Committee, the texts do not contradict the Constitution and will not deprive people of life-saving treatment because some medicines had alternatives.
