The interests of Azerbaijan in investments in Bulgaria are enormous, as our country can be a strategic partner. If we were talking just about intentions previously, now President Aliyev mentioned specific projects and planned investments, primarily in the energy sector. This was announced by Bulgarian Minister of Economy and Energy Dragomir Stoynev after the meeting of the Bulgarian delegation led by Prime Minister Oresharski and the Azerbaijani President in Baku. Talks about increase of gas deliveries also took place as 2019 is seen as a realistic time when this could happen. Minister Stoynev pointed out that Azerbaijan aims to invest in the gas storage facility in Chiren, as well as in improving and expanding Bulgarian gas infrastructure, jointly with local companies.
