If one types After Midnight in Google a great number of various search results will be returned. One of them is the Facebook page of a young Bulgarian rock band. If you are a fan of bands like 30 Seconds to Mars, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, you will most probably like the music of the four boys from Assenovgrad.

Recently, After Midnight presented their debut album entitled My Deepest Secret. The final mastering is the work of the Imperial Mastering studio in California, which works with some of the biggest rock and metal labels like Nuclear Blast Records. This is enough to see that After Midnight have high goals and music is not just a hobby for them. We are purposeful dreamers, says singer Georgi Paunov. My Deepest Secret contains eleven songs, composed by the vocalist. Together with guitarist Georgi Kovachev, drummer Dimitar Penchev and bassist Georgi Argirov the whole band have been friends since school years. They performed under various names but in 2011 they decided to call themselves After Midnight. We think the name suits our music.

All songs from the debut album of After Midnight are in English, suggesting the band are willing to become popular  not only in Bulgaria Here is what Georgi Paunov and Georgi Argirov said:

"From the beginning we set a goal to get popularity abroad. What we aim at cannot be achieved in Bulgaria. It is difficult for young bands in Bulgaria to find support. We create original music and we want to be successful with it, not with doing covers of other works. With their requirements for performing cover versions clubs destroy opportunities of young bands for further development. We have not given up the idea of doing songs in Bulgarian and we show it with our song "Bez Teb." The video to the song can be seen in Youtube. The English version of the song, entitled Done Waiting is included in the album."

"After Midnight" is not yet under the wing of a particular label. The band are very careful when making this choice saying they will sign with a foreign company.

“We officially presented the album on February 21 in Plovdiv. We have planned to present it in other Bulgarian cities in the coming months. We have big ideas for the visual realization of the songs in the album, but they require a significant budget. We are to try shooting some of the videos ourselves, but for others we will need the support of a proper producer.”

Songs in the album are inspired by personal experiences and the music takes the listener into atmosphere of diverse feelings like joy, sadness and as the author himself calls it – “feeling of awakening.”

Audio file contains the following tracks:

. Losing Control

. Bez Teb (Without you)

. Mirrors
