An event is coming up in Sofia that music fans have been anticipating with great excitement - the first-ever live appearance of world-acclaimed soprano Sarah Brighton before Bulgarian audiences. The concert of the diva who has fascinated thousands of fans worldwide with her crossover style is due on 12 November at Armeets Arena.
"Our company is privileged to cooperate with the Symphony Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio for the concert of Sarah Brightman”, said Petar Petrov, General Manager of the organizers, Balkan Entertainment, and added: “Unfortunately, we have not received yet the set list for the concert. Sarah Brightman's world tour goes under the motto, Greatest Hits, so we expect she will present the most popular works from her repertoire.”
The orchestral lineup that will provide accompaniment to Ms. Sarah Brightman is 51-strong. She is due to arrive together with her own band, because her crossover style is not confined to classical instruments. The name of the conductor of the concert is so far unknown but apart from him or her, the singer will also bring a guest-tenor. The stage size will be fit for a concert of some of the leading rock bands. Sarah Brightman is coming with a team of 24 to take care of the whole technical organization. A huge screen will be positioned behind her. What the screen will be showing is still not known but fans guess that apart from starry moments of her career the video might also offer a compilation of footage of outer space. Let us remind you that in 2015 the diva will be the eighth tourist who will get on board the International Space Station.
