On one of the biggest Christian feast days – Annunciation Day – Krassimir and Violeta Gyulmezov, together with Eva Naydenova chose to honour the memory of their colleague and friend Georgi Naydenov-Gogo as well as Ivan Hristov, another member of the formations Domino, Tonica SV and Tonica Family, also deceased. As partners on the stage and in life, Eva and Gogo have had some wonderful songs with musicians from all of these formations.

On 25 March Eva Naydenova, together with friends from the Chic duet – Krassi and Villy Gyulmezov will be getting together as Tonica-Domini for a big concert at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. In hall No.1 their fans will be able to hear hits by the three performers as well as songs from their latest project, called “Remembering Gogo” and featuring different arrangements by Krassi Gyulmezov of some of their best-loved songs – Lado, le, Hello, how are you my friend, and others.

“With this concert we want to spread the word of something good, even though the occasion is sad,” says Eva. “To me and to my friends, Gogo is very much alive. We are looking forward to the musical event on March 25 and are very excited. The three of us decided to organize this concert and to back it up with an album. The concert is also a fund-raiser – some of the money will go to help small children and babies.”

Krassimir Gyulmezov has also undertaken to organize the concert.

“We shall all sing more than 25 songs” he says. “Some of them are from the Tonica repertoire, there are others by the Chic duet. We have also invited very interesting guest-performers like Vesselin Marinov and Nelly Rangelova; from the younger generation – Nora Karaivanova who will perform a new version of the song Bourgas nights. We have also invited two very talented singers - Lyubena Ninova and Lilly Pencheva. This is our way of bridging the gap between the generations in music and I think this concert will be a landmark event – for them as well as for us. I managed to make a wonderful selection of musicians like Tsvetan Nedyalkov, guitar, Ivo Zvezdomirov, bass guitar and many others. I wanted to work with instrumentalists who appreciate the music the three of us have been performing. Unless the music you make comes from the heart, it will never work. The concert will be shown by Bulgarian National TV at Easter. Interest in the concert is running high and the hall is almost sold out.”

Tonica-Domini is also planning a national tour of the biggest cities in Bulgaria to present their new album. At the end of the year the musicians have been invited to sing to an audience of our compatriots in USA and Canada.
