On September 14 and 15 the citizens and guests of the coastal cities of Burgas and Varna will be able to enjoy the music performance of the Legends -the music formation which gathered on stage some of the best Bulgarian musicians. Konstantin Markov and Stanley (Tangra), Konstantin Tsekov (FSB), Yordan Karadzhov (Signal), Dimitar Karnev (D2) and Lubo Kirov (TE) are to surprise their fans with unforgettable music hits and many other surprises. Here is what Konstantin Markov, who was among the founders of the Tangra band told Radio Bulgaria.

“The idea about our new band was born over a year ago. I shared my idea in one of my conversations with Stanley. We started to think out who would be most suitable for the new formation. Thus, the Legends music band was formed. Most things happened naturally. Mitko Karnev accepted our invitation and suggested that Lubo should also join the formation. Later Lubo chose Kosio Tsekov and the band was formed. We want to present four decades of the history of Bulgarian rock music. After all, there are rock musicians from four different generations in that band. We are to present the most-popular songs of our bands. Meanwhile, we will be working over new author pieces, too.”

The Legends band is planning to hold 6 concerts in 2015. The new super band appeared on stage for the first time during the ceremony of the BG Radio music awards and the audience welcomed the new formation with huge interest. “The truth is that we were as excited as our audience. The six of us played for the first time together on stage. We felt a very positive energy from the audience and we continue with a lot of good emotions”, Dimitar Karnev from D2 told Radio Bulgaria and added:

“Another super band The Foundation was a very good example to us. Recently I spoke with Kiril Marichkov and we decided that the two bands should meet soon. Above all we are friends who have been working together in various configurations. I would not be surprised if we make a joint project with the Foundation band in the future. We wanted to make our band look different. That is why we focused on the idea to make the most favorite songs sound in their original arrangements. Most of these pieces were recorded with an excellent quality in the past, too. The Legends is a mixed formation which was born in search of the original sound, yet interpreted by other popular singers.”

Here are some of the surprises prepared for the audience during the tour of The Legends band - Stanley will sing some music hits of the popular band D2, Dancho Karadzhov will perform pieces of TE band. Lubo Kirov will sing some of the most-emblematic songs of the FSB band and will also play on the drums.

“Our goal is to invite the audience to a music tour back in time, when these great pieces were created”, says Konstantin Markov. “We will experience together with our audience some unforgettable moments and those who were not born at that time will have the wonderful opportunity to see that there are different worlds behind the horizon. Many people think that we are the legends, but in fact the legends are the songs presented by our new band.”

A multimedia which was prepared especially for the music tour will introduce the audience to the atmosphere of music hits such as The Lead Soldier. The song emerged in the mid 1980's and we are to reproduce the public and cultural aspect of the past through the multimedia. Currently we are still working on it. The song is an important part of our music show, Dimitar Karnev explains.
