If necessary, we are ready to provide full support in protecting the Bulgarian-Turkish border and could increase the size of the military contingent there, Bulgarian Minister of Defence Nikolay Nenchev told reporters in the town of Elhovo. "Together with Border Police we are to decide whether increasing the number of people and military equipment is necessary,” the minister added. He paid a visit to the border town to personally check the implementation of the tasks there. The Minister explained that specific guidelines and instructions have been prepared concerning the actions of the military in border areas.
