President Plevneliev plans to notify Constitutional Court over fines for camping, parking in Black Sea coastal areas

Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev is going to refer introduced fines for camping and parking in Black Sea coastal areas to the Constitutional Court. The presidential press service has specified that he has promulgated the amendments to Black Sea Coast Spatial Planning Act but is going to notify the Court because it is worth regarding the choice of Bulgarian citizens to go on holidays not only in hotels and complexes but also, as closer to nature as possible. Imposing severe sanctions for formal violations without accounting for the scale of impact on nature and its resources fails to comply with the Constitution of Bulgaria and with basic EU rights, the motives of the president read as carried on the website of the presidency.
