European days of artistic crafts in Gabrovo, Elena, Teteven

The towns of Gabrovo, Teteven and Elena are hosting today and tomorrow the European days of artistic crafts. This international project was launched in France, and later other European countries joined in, including Bulgaria. It seeks to promote artistic crafts, their continuity and public interest in them. The motto this year is With Respect for the Future. In Elena the highlight is pottery more notably the ancient technique of graphite ceramics, as well as woodcarving. Demonstrations are underway at Etara ethnographic complex near Gabrovo and at the architectural reserve of Bozhentsi. The program includes the screening if the first animation series based on Bulgarian folklore, The Golden Apple.
