The Bulgarian Parliamentary Legal Committee has supported the veto of President Rosen Plevneliev on the Election Code, which will now have to be reviewed in the National Assembly. The President's veto is on a text in the Election Code, according to which polling stations outside the EU can only be opened in the diplomatic missions of Bulgaria - consulates and embassies in cities with population of over 1 million people. The changes were offered by the parliamentary group of the Patriotic Front. As an answer to adopted amendments, Bulgarians living abroad staged protests in various countries.
