Following amendments to the Payment Services Act, the Bulgarian National Bank is to open an Internet page where citizens will be able to compare the taxes collected by the commercial banks. The banks will be obliged to publish documents with clear and understandable information of their taxes. The commercial banks will have to provide at customers’ request data about the fees, the interest rates and other information related to their personal bank accounts. The amendments will enter into force after their adoption at a second reading at the Bulgarian National Assembly.
