Over 4,000 anti-hail rockets were fired in Bulgaria in May only, which was close to the amount of anti hail rockets launched in a whole season, Director of the Executive Agency Hail Suppression engineer Vanyo Slaveev told Focus news agency. In Mr Slaveev’s words, the Hail Supression Agency has less than 4,000 anti-hail rockets on stock divided into nearly 200 anti-hail platforms. The new anti-hail system, which would protect all agricultural land in Bulgaria,  is expected to start functioning in 2017.
