Bulgaria is a traditional producer of food for the whole world and it should not abandon its ambition to be among the leading countries in that field, Bulgaria’s President Rossen Plevneliev said in the town of Letnitsa, Northern Bulgaria, where he inaugurated a new production facility for processing and canning of fruit. President Plevneliev assured that Bulgarian food is a symbol of high quality and the market demand of local produce is high on the international food market. Rossen Plevneliev voiced hopes that in the foreseeable future Bulgaria would position well on promising food markets in Central and Eastern Asia. The new production facility will have the capacity to process 5,000 tons of food per year. Nearly 400 new jobs are expected to be opened in the region as a result of that investment.
