Minister of Defence speaks about Bulgaria’s position during upcoming NATO Summit

A statement by Bulgarian Minister of Defense Nikolay Nenchev regarding the position of this country during the NATO summit meeting in Warsaw on July 8-9, 2016, reads that the priorities of this country are focused on creating strong deterrence and collective defence, increased security and enhanced balanced NATO presence on the east flank and in the Black Sea region, as well as creating stability in the periphery of NATO and dealing with crises and related refugee flows. In relation to political adaptation we are striving to maintain a balance between credible deterrence and constructive dialogue with Russia, while maintaining unity and solidarity among the allies, Nenchev said. Russia cannot be ignored as a global force, Minister Nenchev added.
