President of National Council of Switzerland pays visit to Sofia

President of the National Council of Switzerland, Christa Markwalder, who is on an official visit to Bulgaria has had talks in Sofia with President Rosen Plevneliev. The Bulgarian President thanked for the support of Switzerland for Bulgaria's Schengen bid and once again called for shared responsibility and joint actions when dealing with increased migration pressure in Europe. Markwalder confirmed the willingness of Switzerland to deepen trade and economic relations with Bulgaria and pointed out that cooperation with Bulgarian institutions in the spheres of justice and the fight against corruption was of particular importance and must continue.
