Despite the economic growth registered in Bulgaria, the local consumers fear that it would not last long and expect that their country would enter into a recession, data of a public opinion survey about the consumer climate in Europe in the second quarter of 2016 show. The economic expectations of the Bulgarian citizens dropped by 1.4% in the second quarter of 2016 against the backdrop of a 3% economic growth in 2015 and 2.9% growth in the first trimester of 2016. Meanwhile, their revenue expectations increased to 5.2 points, which is 11.8% increase as compared to the same period last year. In view of the constant decrease of unemployment levels and the stable economy, most Bulgarians believe that now is the perfect moment to purchase expensive items and services.
