Bulgaria’s Border Police detained 40 Afghani nationals, 11 Pakistani citizens and 5 Syrians in their attempt to cross illegally the Bulgaria-Serbia border. The policemen stopped three cars on the road close to Kalotina border checkpoint. 26 foreign nationals without IDs were found during the inspection. Twenty five of the migrants claimed Afghani citizenship and 5 of them said they were Syrian nationals. The authorities pressed charges against the three drivers. Another 19 Afghani nationals and 11 Pakistani citizens were detained near Dragoman border checkpoint in the past 24 hours. Most of them were registered at the State Agency for Refugees. The country’s authorities prevented seven attempts of 114 migrants to cross illegally the Bulgarian –Turkish border.
