Record number of tourists coming to Bulgaria since 1990

“The number of tourists coming to Bulgaria during the summer season this year has registered a 12 percent increase compared to the peak year 2014 and has set a 25-year record,” said Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova.

The growth rate will be by 15 instead of 5 percent as expected. The number of holidaymakers coming from Germany is up by 40 percent in the period until May, from Poland – by 100 percent for the first five months of the year and by 177 percent for June. There is a boom in the number of tourists coming from the Czech Republic and Slovakia as well.
