Bulgaria has been planning to spend 1.07 million euros in 2018 to finance development projects in the Western Balkans. This is what the medium-term program for development assistance and humanitarian aid, which the government has adopted in early August, envisages, BGNES reported. Financing used for the same purpose in 2016 was 816,000 euros. "Bulgaria remains committed to European and Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkan countries and will continue to support democratic reforms, protection of human rights, strengthening the rule of law, civil society, and market economy," the document reads.
