President Plevneliev to pay first visit to Czech Republic

On September 5 and 6 Bulgaria’s President Rossen Plevneliev is to pay his first visit to the Czech Republic at the invitation of his Czech counterpart Milos Zeman, the press office of the Bulgarian head of state announced. The main topics of discussion between Presidents Plevneliev and Zeman will regard the migrant crisis, the fight against terrorism and the bilateral cooperation in security and defense fields. President Rossen Plevneliev will also discuss with Milos Zeman topical issues from the regional, European and international agenda. They will also exchange stands regarding the perspectives of the Balkan countries for EU and NATO integration. The cooperation between Bulgaria and the countries from the Visegrad group and the development of the trade and economic ties between Bulgaria and the Czech Republic will be also discussed during President Plevneliev’s visit to that country.
