We are not planning to build new migrant centers in Bulgaria at the moment, Bulgaria’s Minister of Interior Rumiana Bachvarova said on Saturday during the inspection of the Bulgarian-Turkish border near Malko Tarnovo. We are hoping to cope with the migrant crisis with the existing migrant centers, Deputy Premier Bachvarova added. One hundred officers from Frontex are expected to arrive in Bulgaria and help that country protect its state borders. Bulgaria is expecting to receive assistance from Germany within a week or so. That country will help Bulgaria with vehicles and thermographic cameras. German Chancellor Angela Merkel assured Bulgaria that her country would send us eight to ten new jeeps by November. The equipment will be used mainly in the region of Malko Tarnovo. The migrant pressure along the Bulgarian-Turkish border decreased with 30% as compared to last year, Minister Bachvarova also said.
