Arraiolos Presidents: Uncontrolled crossing of European borders is intolerable act

The heads of state of Bulgaria, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Hungary, Germany and Finland united around the necessity for adoption of common European approach towards the solution of topical issues caused by the increased migrant wave, the UK referendum on that country’s EU membership, the low confidence of the European citizens in their institutions, etc. The uncontrolled crossing of the European borders is an intolerable act and the agreement between the EU and Turkey on the readmission of migrants is fragile, but it is functioning, Bulgaria’s President Rossen Plevneliev summarized. The Presidents of Arraiolos group united around the stand that there is no alternative to the future of the Western Balkan countries in the European Union and that the EU should continue working in that direction.
