Bulgaria should speed up preparations for accession to the Euro Zone, in order not to lag behind decision-making processes in the EU, Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev said at a meeting with Jewish organizations in New York. Representatives of Jewish organizations assessed positively the progress made in investigating the bombing at Sarafovo Airport of July 2012 that killed five Israeli tourists and a Bulgarian citizen. The Bulgarian President presented the progress of reforms in key sectors in the country, as well as aspects of the strategic partnership with the US and Israel in the spheres of energy, defense and security, as well as the fight against terrorism.
