Every other death in Bulgaria connected with cardiovascular diseases

In connection with World Heart Day, September 29, the National Statistical Institute has released data showing that every other death in Bulgaria will soon be due to cardiovascular diseases.
This is the most socially significant group of diseases in the country, causing the death of more than 70,000 people every year. The most high-risk group are men aged over 45 and women over 55. On World Heart Day the Bulgarian Society of Cardiology is launching a public awareness campaign in 12 towns across Bulgaria.
