The largest production base in Southeast Europe for development of thermal printers has officially opened in Bulgaria’s Botevgrad. The APS Industrial Park is located in the “Microelectronics” industrial zone in the town on an area of 17,000 square meters. The investment totals three million euros, it was reported. Currently, this is the only production base of the company across the world and it will be producing more than 6 million printers annually intended for export worldwide. "12 years after we decided to move to Bulgaria, I can say there hasn’t been a single day we regretted the decision," owner of APS (Advanced Printing Systems), Paolo Visentini, said. The plans of the company to double the number of jobs it currently offers are important for an underdeveloped region like northwestern Bulgaria, towards which the government targets policies to promote investment activity.
