Bulgaria will continue to contribute to Afghanistan’s recovery at a bilateral level and in line with its international obligations, Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Mitov said at a high-level conference in Brussels. We will continue to participate at the Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan with up to 110 military men and will continue to pay our installment in the trust fund of the Afghani national army. We are planning new projects and engagements within the frameworks of the Official Development Assistance. On Sunday Premier Boyko Borissov warned that he would withdraw Bulgaria’s military contingent from Afghanistan, if the Afghan cabinet did not agree with the readmission of migrants. Meanwhile EU diplomats negotiated such agreement in Kabul on the same day.
