The start of the Presidential campaign in Bulgaria is given on Thursday, October 6. Two applicants dropped out of the race several hours before the official start of the campaign. Thus, a total of 21 candidates will run for President. The Presidential elections will be held on November 6, together with a national referendum. Bulgaria’s citizens will answer questions related to the introduction of compulsory voting, the introduction of majority electoral system and cutting the state subsidy to the political parties to 50 Eurocents for each valid vote.
