Wholesale food prices remain practically unchanged

Wholesale prices of foodstuffs have remained practically unchanged, the Commodity Exchange and Wholesale Markets State Commission says.

No significant changes have been registered since June. Last week the prices dropped of Bulgarian hothouse tomatoes, more significantly of lemons – by almost 16 percent; the price of vegetable oil is down by one percent. The prices are up of Bulgarian hothouse cucumbers, potatoes, peppers, of carrots by 25 percent, the price of grapes is also up. According to retailers, the drop in the price of lemons and the hike in the price of grapes is typical for this time of year.
