Widespread unrest broke out at the refugee centre in Harmanli, southern Bulgaria this morning, the Interior Ministry says.
The authorities were alerted by the State Agency for Refugees. Around 20 Afghans and 30 Syrians are protesting against the deplorable conditions at the centre and are demanding to leave Bulgaria. Police and gendarmerie units have been dispatched on location.
