The border police at Kulata border checkpoint seized 26 kilograms of cocaine from a car with Bulgarian registration plates, upon entry into this country from Greece.
The driver of the vehicle is a Bulgarian national. According to criminologists the drugs are estimated at around 2.5 million euro and were part of a cocaine smuggling ring from Latin America via Greece and Bulgaria. This consignment was most probably earmarked for the Bulgarian market.
