More than 30 customs officers have been arrested at the Lesovo checkpoint at the Bulgarian - Turkish border. Because of the operation, carried out by Chief Directorate "Combating Organized Crime" and the National Security State Agency, the checkpoint was closed and the queue of waiting cars is 4 km long, it was reported. Arrested customs officers are suspected of taking bribes from carriers. It is unclear when traffic through the border checkpoint will be restored. The advice of authorities is that drivers should head towards the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint.
