Presidential elections in Bulgaria were well organized technically and were conducted in compliance with fundamental freedoms. The relatively high voter turnout could be seen as an expression of hope for lasting political stability in the country. This is the conclusion of the 8-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Venice Commission, who paid a visit to Bulgaria in the period November 3 to 7, in order to observe the presidential elections.
