Macedonia’s President Professor Dr Gjorge Ivanov was awarded by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences with Doctor Honoris Causa title at an official ceremony in the presence of representatives of Bulgaria’s cultural and political elite, ambassadors, diplomats, etc. Gjorge Ivanov is a professor in political sciences. He is the founder of the Best Young Scientist Award. President Ivanov also established a school for young leaders. Gjorge Ivanov thanked the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences for the high recognition and called on the Bulgarian and the Macedonian institutions to follow the example of BAS and the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts and cooperate as actively and comprehensively.
