Emblematic radio host Toma Sprostranov earns Golden Age award

Toma Sprostranov who is a music editor and a host at the Bulgarian National Radio received the Golden Age award. The award is bestowed by the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture to persons who contribute to the development of the Bulgarian culture and national identity. This year the award was also bestowed to exceptional artists such as Luben Zidarov, Professor Plamen Dzhurov, Lilia Abadjieva, Stoyan Alexiev, Elin Rahnev and Professor Aleksandar Tekeliev. Toma Sprostranov is the most-distinguishable voice on the Bulgarian airwaves. His show Lubopitno Petolinie is broadcast live every Sunday on the airwaves of Radio Plovdiv. It dates back to 1967 and is the oldest live radio show in the Balkans. Toma Sprostranov is also known as a host of Pulsirashti Noti (Pulsating Notes) radio show, broadcast on the airwaves of Horizont programme of the Bulgarian National Radio. He also hosts the rubrics Tomi Predstavq (Tomi Presents) and Lubimi Do Bolka .
