Bulgargaz proposes 13.5% increase in gas price in first quarter of 2017

Bulgargaz requested from the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission to increase the price of natural gas with 13.5% in the first quarter of 2017. According to the proposal of Bulgargaz, the new price of the natural gas should amount to EUR 155 (303 Leva) per 1,000 cubic meters excluding excise duty and VAT. However, EWRC is unlikely to agree on such a big increase, because it would also mean a sharp increase in the price of central heating. Last month the Chairman of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission Ivan Ivanov announced that the gas price will probably see a slight increase which would not influence the price of hot water and central heating.
