Conditions created for draining fuel tanks in Hitrino at minimal risk

The Interior Ministry has stated that all conditions have been created so that draining the fuel tanks in Hitrino will carry a minimal risk for the people carrying out the operation. Due to the enormous workload of the teams inviolved, information about the process will be provided at two briefings a day – at 8 AM and at 5 PM.

Earlier in the day a high-risk operation was conducted for stopping a gas leak. During a thorough inspection of the houses it was ascertained that some stone surfaces were heated; they have been drenched in foam to prevent any risk of incidents. The damage is being assessed and experts have started inspections of the houses that have sustained the greatest amount of damage.
