Two Bulgarian nationals were detained at the Bulgaria-Turkey border near the village of Belevren, Southeast Bulgaria, for possession of high-quality heroin. The price of the narcotics is estimated at over EUR 1 million. The drugs were found in Lada Niva passenger car. The heroin was divided in 96 packages and placed in several rucksacks. Its total quantity amounts to 49,990 kilograms. The two Bulgarians chose the route which is usually used by migrants travelling from Turkey to Western Europe.
